Adventures at the Gun Shop Today
Hey Guys....called one gun shop...said they had a 1941 Mauser.....41 BYF...for $1695.00.....also had an Artillery....So I drove about 30 miles from here.....the Mauser looked good...nothing fancy..just honest wear....salesman "its authentic all right...got waffenamts with swastikas on right side....and Eagle and Swastika under barrel.."..I looked at the waffenamts on right side...there were 3 side by side...first one was WaA135.(which I believe was a leathermaker)...couldnt make out 2nd...3rd was just Eagle & Swastika.......under the barrel was another Eagle & Swastika....the sideplate looked like the number had been stamped very hard........hope these photos come out....they wouldnt come down on the price.....IMHO....I think Bubba got to work with some waffenamt stamps....but hey......so let me know what you think.....later on...will tell you about the prewar Walther PPK...those folks were a hoot..!!.....Hans Fischer

Can't tell to much about the finish but the SE 135 SE135 is ok. They are not WaA but stick eagles. Actually the finish appears to be original. I, at least, would need more pictures. The price seems a might high but. Bill

Re BYF 41 Luger
You are right Bill......I was wrong about the WaA135.....just remembered there was one holster maker that used same number......and looking at photos again...noticed small Eagle & Swastika on side of barrel......was it normal to have that many Eagle & Swastika marks..?...just the Eagle by itself.?...on sideplate...under barrel...and on side of barrel...??..Im learning something new everytime I pull this forum up......thanks again..Hans Fischer

Does the sear bar match? From the photos it looks like a 30?
