Default Hunting an old friend

Recently I ran across a box of .30 cal Luger shells with 1 round missing, and I flashed back. In 1981 I traded AE Luger serial # 66611 (easy to remember) to an out-of state dealer for 2 Colt Mk 4's and a Ruger T512. I fired 1 round to be sure the old hoss was still functional. We were both happy, a good deal.

My curiosity is piqued... where is the AE now? I think the dealer was in Illinois, not sure. Where has the old girl been in 30 years? Who is admiring her now? Any help appreciated. Thanks, guys.

Todd,
This might help; your serial number 66611 is on Dwight's commercial database. You can access that site here: click

I thought a hotlink was some kind of sausage.
