Default 1910 Magazine

I have a 1910 DWM. The magazine is of WW2 production. I am going to start looking for a "more correct" Magazine, as I'm sure the original has found another home over the last 100 years. What should I be looking for as to construction and markings? Thanks for any help.

Provide your serial number and letter code, if any. You may end up with the matching magazine! Stranger things have happened..

A 1910, would have a crimped light colored, sheet metal body, and a wood base.

Default 1910 Magazine

In addition, the numbers would be stamped along the long axis rather than the more common across the wood. See photo. You might be more successul looking for teeth on a hen.

An added note to what Mike has provided, a 1910 would not show a letter suffix on the mag. The suffixes only begin to show up in 1911 e-block DWM's prior to the change to small numerals.

Wayne, I have one numbered 1398, close but that's all. A 1910 magazine will not have a suffix.

Wayne, if you have another early mag I may trade depending on equal condition. I have about fifteen of the early type mags but since I collect these guns I only trade for a like magazine in order to help someone match or get closer to one of their guns. I have actually matched three within the last few years.
