Finnish luger info needed
New here. Have a friend who is selling a 9mm Finnish Luger for $900. Bluing looks good, about 80%. It has a Tikka barrel on it. Does this barrel adversely hurt the value of the pistol?
Other than checking for matching serial numbers, anything else about Finnish Lugers good, bad, or indifferent I should be aware of? |

(I'm taking your word it's a Luger and not a Lahti). Price sounds OK. Does the barrel have the triangle T marking???

Hi Ron,
Welcome to the forum. I also have a Finnish Luger, you must know that all of them originally had a barrel in .30 Luger caliber (AKA 7.65 mm. Parabellum). Out of that the price looks OK. Photos will help, especially of the markings. For more informations check the "Search" section of the forum, or the "Commercial P08" section, as the Finnish Lugers where commercials and not military. You will find many finnish lugers that are mismatched, so that is not a killer, and the Tika barrel was the offiicial replacement by the gov't, so not bad to have on it. I sold my finn, wish i'd kept it

Does this gun have the SA mark on the left receiver, or a cutout for a unit mark disc in the right grip? It will be good to know the serial number.
