Westwall / The Siegfried Line
Here is a story on the Siegfried Line that I wrote when I was in the Netherlands and lived close to many of these fortifications.
I had geared it for beginners, not real young, but for college school or above. Ed

Ed,
Nice article. I like the 'Zimmer frei' text on the little bunker. ('Room available' ) |

Were you a fan of the 70's series?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D00Hi8DoO5c I remember watching it (along with "Columbo" and "McMillan and Wife"). I was a very young man at the time... no offense intended . Jack

Ed walked in the same spot. You could feel the history there.

I was going through, deleting my very old for sale items (very old mind you) and also announcements such as 4 or 5 yr old raffles, etc and came across this posting of mine.
I think its not a bad read, and believe I was historically accurate when I wrote it. Ed |

Macloud looks like a Boarder Collie. Yes, they are very fine dogs. We have two, Shadow and Annabelle.

Well, we now have a Border Collie mix, but Macloud and Heather were registered Berner Seinen Hunds in other words, Bernese Mountain Dogs, both from the netherlands. He was young in this photo and had not filled out yet.
