Kevin, Congratulations and welcome to the Luger Forum!
Holster is a reproduction. How did you do? Great! You got a Luger and that's the main thing... Jerry Burney

Hi Kevin,
Decent byf( Mauser) 1942 production. The proper mag would be fxo black bakelite bottom or fxo blank aluminum bottom, As Jerry said NG on holster.Welcome and good pick up |

Thanks! I didn't even know the holster came with the gun but the seller threw it in just as an extra. I kinda figured the holster was a reproduction but it is still of good construction and looks nice, in my opinion.

Thats a real beauty, usually guns look much better in person than on pictures since all imperfections are magnified on photos. Is that your firts Luger??

Kind of hard to determine surface condition from the photos. In this area it could be closer to $850, but again it matters if you are the buyer or the seller.
Regardless, you have invested in artwork with a history and a story. One that you can go out and shoot and will probably appreciate and not loose value over time. Enjoy! dju |

Maybe I underestimated the condition. Hard to tell from the pictures.

I'd give you $700 for it...and you could even keep the holster!

I think the magazine has been renumbered; but yes, I could sell it for $850-$950 I am sure on my table, probably a bit over a $1000.
Condition is everything, and even though a byf 42, its rougher than many collectors would want. Ed
