I agree, the interior should show signs of removed interior lining. There was a compartiment for the ammunition and a sort of rack mount for the magazines themselves.

I would be very cautious with bidding on this box. The TM'08 box and the MG'08/15 boxes are exactly the same dimensions and the hardware is very similar. The two big differences are the interior and the price. The TM'08 can go for as much as $5500 while the last MG'08/15 I saw sold went for $350.
