I think it's rare SS plumber's solder captured at the Roto-Rooterwerke in Flusheim.

It's a crappy story, but I'm stickin' to it.

I wasn't aware that the Nazi's used coin or currency to buy things from the countries they invaded. That's just dumb, they would have used an ATM, or a corporate Master Card.

Thanks, but I am not very fancy on WaA. What I am fancy on is an embossed Mauser pistol on top of Zippo. There were plenty of them on Ebay three or four years ago priced very reasonably. Since the supply was big, I was not in hurry. One day, I finally remembered to buy one and found they were all gone.

Edit: I knew it sounds bizarre, but it was there before and it was not rare. Probably made in Hong Kong.... embossed image was a Broom with stock attached.

I could make these easily, so could anyone with a casting set up. Another scam in the making.

I bet my apprentice one time that I could make something new and have it sold within a day on eBay, she took the bet. I made a pair of cufflinks in .925 silver; swastica within a circle with red enameling. Before ebay could remove it, it was sold and the money was in my paypal account. I also ate lunch for free that day.

and I got my first warning. You really need to be careful; knockoffs are so easy to make. I've done pieces for reenactment groups that they couldn't even tell the copy from the original.

BTW I didn't sell the cufflinks as WWII original. Besides, originals would have been in .800 silver unless made here in the states. They where listed as " An Unusual Pair of Sterling Silver Cufflinks. Yep, eBay did jump me,

I did read news recently saying a few (5?) coin collector associations issued "WARNING" to members on fake pre 1900 U.S. silver coins. Claimed being made in China. Collectors have lost a few million dollars on those. Of course there are U.S. coin dealers involved helping this, manufacturer alone cannot distribute over Pacific.

Too easy to be faked. Don't collect coins. It's always a little bit too late to receive those warnings.

No Don, I don't think so. At no time did I mention NAZI, German, or WWII. In fact historically that symbol has been around allot longer than the Austrian Corporal. I can show you pictures of the swastika adorning the alter in the Chicago cathedral pre WW1. If you would like to go historicaly earlier, I can do that too. So if you think only the Nazis lay claim to that symbol you need to do a little more research.

I would have to agree with Frank,

At no time did he mention authentic, original, WW2, Nazi, etc. The Swastika attracts all kinds of people. They don't care if its original or WW2, they just want a Swastika.

Under the definition given, then every supply house providing reenactors with reproduction equiptment is "defrauding" them.
