Default 655 Tool opinions?

Hello, all.....
This tool is part of a holster/tool deal that I'm about to pull the trigger on, and I'd appreciate some opinions on it.
These are the only photos that I have, and I hope they're sufficient.

Thank you,
Bob.

Default 655 tool

Hi Bob, looks real to me.... although the condition makes it marginaly collectable... If priced right, I'd go for it!! Best to you, til...lat'r...GT

Bob, Like GT..it looks good so far..I would take off the finish, oil or shellack or whatever is on it. Then you can get a good look at it. i suppose you have measured it for thickness?

You need to see the strike a lot better.

Is there by chance a guide/faq that would tell someone what to look for? I have a few tools that have come with various rigs. based on how/who i acquired these Lugers from, i have no real doubts about the authenticity of my tools but would like to check.

Thanks in adavance.
