I was in London this same time last year and I saw several people wearing what I thought looked like a tomato made out of paper. Finally, I asked someone and they said it was a poppy for Remembrance Day. It took me a few moments to release it was what we call VeteranĂ¢??s Day.
The sad part was that almost everyone I saw wearing one of these paper poppies was over 50. Happy Remembrance Day Tracy Powell |

I will be standing quietly for a couple of minutes at the 11th hour on November the 11th as always.
Freddy Ray 466 Squadron. 5th march 1945. Age 21, Burried in Harrogate, Commonwealth war cemetry, along with several Canadian air crews who went down on the same dreadfull night.
