1939 Holster
Hi
What can you experts tell me about this 1939 holster ? I am new to this and all I know is that it look like its made by Carl Busse Mainz and there seems to be some small and faded letters below the eagle and svatzika. Last one seems to be "6" Inside someone has written with a pen, a number, (possible the pistol #) and maybe a name. Looks like black on the pics, but the real colour is dark brown. Any info would be appriciated. Thanks and all the best from Iceland. Ingvar. |

Hi Ingvar,
Nice honest 1939 holster. In 1939, Waffenamt 286 would have been responsible for the army acceptance. Judging from the traces on the holster's Waffenamt acceptance marking, all seems ok to me. |

1939 Holster
Ingvar - Your holster was made in 1939 by the firm of Carl Busse in Mainz. The WaA code is 286. In the later part of 1939 this manufacturer was given a code of jkh. Hope this information helps. Bill
