Newcomer needs help
Hi, I just recently acquired a luger. I will try to post pics tomorrow. It has DWM toggle id, marked 1920 on top has the serial # 4115 and looks like all parts are marked 15. The clip # is 4107. On the butt of the gun there are to initials L.C. and under that is Ri. It came in a holster that has DLU 1942 on it. I would greatly appreciate any information you can give me. Thank you!

Joe, welcome to the forum,
It is made by DWM, and tghe 1920 can be a property marking or a date, seeing a picture would give us a good guess. The initials could be unit marking, or someones intiials. Ed

Joe,
I will be very interested in seeing photos of this pistol, especially the grip strap mark. This mark is actually L.G./Ri. and it is from the Saxon Landesgendarmerie (rural police) battalion headquartered in Riesa. I don't have access to my database at present but this may be the only Luger with this marking I have seen. In any event, it is a rare marking.
