Value of this luger? Might bid on it..
I'm looking for my first Luger, and would like a shooter to start off with and don't have the funds for a prestine model anyways. I found this on gunbroker, it's a 37 S/42, a lot of mismatched parts, claimed 90% bluing, with a good bore. Besides being mismatched from the frame to toggle, the side plate is as well which tells me it was probably a Russian Capture? Anyways...what do you think it's worth? I'd guess $500-ish. I might place a bid if it doesn't go too high. Thanks guys

Phat:
90 percent bluing is questionable. Big Ding in side plate. Will probably require some work to make a shooter. That being said it will likely bring $500.00 Regards Ken D |

I agree with Ken..You may want to ask the seller IF it will shoot. It might not fire and require a lot of tinkering or spare parts or a gunsmith. More Money!
