Hi Everyone,
I just joined the forum after buying a P-08. Can anyone help me with the ID? I used the forum's pdf form: Toggle - DWM script Logo Chamber Top - Blank Toggle Knob - flat crosshatched circles Grip Safety - Not Present Stock Lug - Present Caliber - 7.65 Grips - Very Dark Walnut, Checkered and Borderless, No Insignia Thumb Safety - Forward "Gesichert" Markings: Crown N - Under Barrel, Left Side of Receiver/Chamber Serial Number - 8022 k - Across front of frame, across underside of barrel 22 - Rear of toggle, bottom of take down lever GERMANY - across the front of the frame under 8022 and above k Barrel Length - 3 5/8 inches Extractor - marked "Geladen" Front Sight - Blade, convex curve on the front and straight diagonal rear Rear Sight - "V" notch on rear toggle Magazine base - unmarked wood Special Note - The top of the receiver does not appear to have as much relief out from the barrel base as its sides do but it is a smooth transition from the sides to the top and the top appears pristine. I have not disassembled it yet - I have done P-38's but not Lugers. Finish - Plum with hints of former blue here and there. No "Straw" color left anywhere that I can see. No rust. Grips - worn. Bore - bright with some remaining shallow grooves. I would appreciate anyone's help on this - its nice to know what you have! Thanks |
