Default Determining if a commercial holster is for a luger long distance?

It seems there are quite a few Woodsman and High Standard commercial holsters and other holsters for 22 semis that superficially from photos can look like a luger might fit. If there are no markings that say Woodsman or Luger on the back of these then what can you do long distance? Are there general luger holster measurements that can be looked for in terms of width and depth? Obviously, the length of the barrel determines length. I'm think more of the double-loop style western holsters rather than flap type. Any help will be appreciated.
