Default ?? on G dated Luger

I may have a chance to buy a G dated Commercial Luger,, supposedly in nice shape. My question is ,, do they know hold the same value as a Military Luger or how much of a average difference is there? I will know more once photos show up as 75% of the time the description is incorrect when someone tells me about a piece and we have all been thru that.
Thanks,,Rick B

Rick,

I'm not up to speed on Mauser produced Lugers, but I've never heard of a 'Commercial" G date. All I have seen were either Army, Navy or Police.

I'm not up on them either so I guess this is a learning experience for me. I was told it did not have numbers all over it like most. He may be completely mixed up on what he is seeing. I am waiting for pictures and I expect it to be a reblue mix master even though he thinks not as most people do when they have Hitler's Luger { kidding },, if you know what I mean. Thanks and will holler back here when I get more details. Rick B

I pried a bit more and now he states it has the last two numbers on all parts and they all match. It is funny how people get lost on there explanations. He also now after more prying states it has wear to the blue. He said he didnt see the usual military markings which I dont think he knows what those are to be honest. He made a call and they decided to keep it now. He was asking $600.00
I guess my questions made them think it was worth allot more and rightfully so. Rick

No , not at all. I knew it was worth more and told him but he said If I wanted for there asking price I could have it. Someone else got involved as it was at a private range where they sell guns to help support the club.
I was just inquiring to see if this sounded correct with the incorrect info from him orignally. Rick B

Rick, You're probably better off to have missed this one, as there were no commerical G date PO8s. If the military acceptance is missing from the right side of the receiver, it's probably a reblued shooter. TH
