Hi Pete,
Really well done! After you clean it do you mind to send to me some high quality scan? Cheers, Mauro

Wow! A unique score! Pete, you do have a way of finding the most unusual accoutrements.
Echoing Ron's sentiment, "How do you do it?"

Steve,
Speaking of accoutrements... Here is a Swiss shooting taler made in 1901 that is on its way to my home. It is pictured on page 74 in the little book "Swiss Shooting Talers & Medals" by Delbert Ray Krause, 1965... I thought it perfect to go along with one of my M1900 Swiss Lugers made in 1901... |

Thanks, Bill...
I will spend a few more days on cleaning and reconditioning the leather...but the first round sure has made a difference in the color and suppleness of the leather...it was initially quite dirty and very dry. BTW...does anyone have any info. on the firm of "GIL" ? Is GIL a family/firm name or an acronym ? When did this firm make holsters ? |
