Default New part needed to fix jam?

I need a part/fix for an old Luger I have. It is stamped as 42 on about every part I can see but I beleive it to be manufactured before that date (I think it has a 1939 stamp on it if I recall..the luger isn't with me now). It has

a wood grip handle but the rest of it is machined steel (except the magazine which appears to be stamped). The pistol is in very good shape.

The problem is that if you put more than four or five shells in the magazine, you cannot guarantee that the shell will load correctly when it is cocked (shell jams about 25% of the time when the magazine has five or more shells in it).

Do you know if this is a flaw in the magazine or another part?

If so, then please E-mail me at darrinps@hotmail.com

Thanks.

Darrin,

I agree with John that it sounds like the magazine is the problem. Look in the "Links & Resources" section for Tom Heller's e-mail address and contact him for the availability of a magazine and the price. Tom is a great guy and should be able to help you with another mag.

Triple K and Mac-Gar magazines (available at a range of places) are highly recommended by Luger users.
