Default Value of 1916/1920 DWM West Prussian Police Luger?

Hello everyone. I am new to the board.

I own this DWM luger and was wondering if you guys could tell me it's approximate value. All of the numbers match except the magazine. It's 9mm w/ a bright and shiny bore. Serial number 751. Front grip strap markings are: "S. . Wpr. II. 117." (see pics). It appears these are police markings from West Prussia, as I was told on another forum. Please see link below for numerous pictures of the gun.

Thank you in advance.

Brian,

Welcome to the forum. Your is Luger is worth about $1200-$1500, at a rough estimate. The magazine is a Mauser WWII issue. Police Lugers are a hard sell. I know from experience.

Ron

Nice pistol, I agree with Ron, and maybe closer to the $1200 mark. Weimar police pistols just do not sell well (i.e. on gunbroker), as I have attempted it several times.

Many of the same folks that post at Jan's, post here, that is probably why you did not get any immediate feedback
