Mag Prices. What am I Missing?
This auction just ended.
What is so special about this magazine? Did it match somebodies Luger? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...7788&rd=1&rd=1 |

Looks like it matched both bidder 4 & bidder 6's Lugers!

I know a simson it would have "matched" too (not correct I know)....
that said, I bought a 4004 because it matched a Simson I owned, no, not a match, but kinda cool.... Ed |

It is very easy to get carried away when one is bidding.
Unfortunately, the few times I have put things up for sale, no one acted that way as to my items.

Over the past couple of months I've bid on at least a dozen Imperial mags only to be outbid in the final seconds by "sonofizzy". His ebay name was brought up a few months ago but nobody seems to know who he is. I have to feel he's one of the reasons that mags are going for such a high amount. I'd just like to get a couple nice extra mags but if one came up that matched one of my Lugers I'd bid dearly for it. Brent B.

"sonofizzy" did win several of my mag the other day, he bids high and often, just what a seller likes, and while I do know his name and address, It would not be right to give it out....

Only positive experiences with him. Fast payment and seems like a nice guy.

I "heard" his name, but have never heard of him... he hasn't bid high on the items I have sold... But he seems to have deep pockets. On the other hand, I have been outbid many times by members I know, and that is okay. Most of the time i bid my set amount and if you need that item more, then thats what an auction is.

Awhile back I reached out to "sonofizzy" and directed him to both the LF and Jan Still's Gun Boards.
I am confident he registered on both forums... Nice fellow to correspond with. He took my suggestion for "over paying" on some eBay items as a gentleman. My guess on this magazine...he has the luger or knows the collector who does... |
