Alot of Arty uppers

In the last two weeks I have seen 5-6 arty uppers going up for auction on Ebay. I believe there are at least two right now and one just sold on New Years eve. Seems like alot all of a sudden. Any thoughts?

I think a couple are from the Katrina flood area judging by the location of seller. I was out bid once already one.
