Great Great Grandparents that were Germans that transplanted to Russia, then to America. Very observant Tacfoley, but does that make me fluent in German...Nein! Focus Tac... Focus! Back to the important stuff...

Below the barrel hardness mark of B O 25 and
below the serial number 1028 is the number sequence of
8,83 or possibly 3,83. What does that represent?

I also purchased a book tonight (the only luger book that Barnes and Noble had) call Standard Catalog of Luger by Aarron Davis. It has a vast list of inspector/acceptance stamps, but the middle two stamps on this gun are not in the book....any suggestions. I will try to draw and scan them in for you to see tomorrow.
Thanks again gentlemen!

Tac...No offense intended, so therefore none taken. I know less about my ancestors than I should. I am, however learning, since my Father just gave me a 5 Cd set of my family tree, complete with pictures, stories, and maps of the old country and migration patterns. It was just recently finished by his side of the family...they have been compiling info for the last 30 years. Great reading.
Also, thanks for the info on the bore diameter....Lots to learn about Lugers it seems.
Have a great Thanksgiving.

So Lonnie, what part of North Dakota are you in?

Tac, you may be less British than Lonnie is German, but is Lonnie less German than the queen is? And are you more British than Her Majesty?

Hail!! My Grandad was Irish/Cherokee from Oklahoma and my Grandma was Irish/Choctaw from Kentucky. I'm not even fluent in English...

Not North Dakota....Southern Idaho. A place between two mountain ranges called the Magic Valley.
