Artillery price consultation
I am offered a DWM 1918 artillery in 95% condition, all matching except mag which is WWI correct, plain sights, excellent unmarked grips, and bore is mint. The right side of the receiver is marked "Germany." How much would this detract from the value? Is $1500 too too much to pay?

It does not seem to be a bad price.

AAron,
while $1500 sounds like a bargain for a 1918 artillery Luger, a mint barrel on an artillery always sends up warning signals in my head. Hows about some pictures? If you don't have pictures, then you should take your gun out in the sunlight and compare the bluing on the barrel and the rest of the gun or maybe another WW1 Luger.
