Well I just don't know what to say! Other than Ted did not do the restoration if you want to call it that! Somehow I don't think the seller will get anywhere close to the asking price.

The only reason I posted this was that it was done Soooooo badly! I have had reblue's in the past that were a bit shiny, but this gun almost has a melted look to it!

Ed,..
Do you think that it was one of those Prettied Up Pimp Pistoles that somebody was trying to Buff out back to the earlier finish ???... ![]() It sure dose not have any sharp corners that snag in a pocket. Smooth as that is, I bet you might get by with shootin it in yer pocket with out it getting all hung up in the lining. I wonder why he did not smooth up those "Rough Toggle Roller Ends" ViggoG ![]() |

A-A-R-R-R-G!!! This guy has three bids on this sucker!!!! The last one is $450 as of this writing. What are these guys thinking? The only thing this gun is good for is shooting the guy who did the work on it.

Looks like they were trying to make a Luger into bar of soap!

Been hearing a story for years about some guy who threatened to take another fella's gun and stick it up his......, well looks like someone took him seriously and fixed one up for it. Reminds me of a Charter .38 my buddy Ken left in a Walmart bag in the bottom of his flatbottom all summer, really rusted up so he took it to a cousin who hung it on a coathanger and sandblasted it. Got carried away (beer), it shone like a cheap fishing lure but wouldn't work anymore. Talk about smooth. No serial number, maker's name, even the screw heads were gone. Wonder what he did with that thing.

Roadkill,
That is the kind of Luger you take bear hunting. That way it doesn't hurt as much when the bear sticks it....

Just watch where the price goes !
I think it's just one of those things; a reasonable looking Luger, (to the uninitiated), is worth that kind of money to someone whose always wanted a 'Luger'. The wide audience the net reaches is driving up the prices of a lot of 'finite' supply items, especially at the entry level. My guess is it'll get to ~ $575 and not reach reserve. |

There are just too many shooter Lugers out there, for close to the same price and aren't rounded edged?

It's got the same crappy looking grips my Mauser Luger came with; maybe the Russians polished it.
Stevie. P.S. I think the bad looking grips were the reason the previous owner sold me my Mauser pistol. |
