Talking new kid on the block

Hello...Since entering your domain I have just been a looky-loo. As of yesterday I now own a Luger. I am not sure of a lot of things but here is what I know. Made in 1916 and all matching except the mag.(of course)and the grips. There are 4 marks on right side near barrel. Three marks are a crown with a letter under each that I cannot read. the 4th mark, I think is the emperial eagle. Maybe 40 to 50 percent corn. Any suggestions or comments about anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks......Trikerdude

Trikerdude,

There are Luger Identification Sheets located under the Technical Information links on the left frame of the homepage at Lugerforum.com

Collect the information they ask for and then post it all here and members will help you identify and value your Luger.

Nothing tells the story like photos. Post photos of the top and both sides if you can... it will help others determine the true condition of your Luger.

I see by your membership number (700) that you have been a member for some time but this is your first post. Welcome to the Lugerforum.

Here is a set of proofs from a 1916 DWM Luger

And another from a 1916 Erfurt Luger

Happy to see another Michigander on the forum. I feel sorta lonely taking on all these tough southern USA rebels alone. Any good gun shows up there? All we have around here are those Doug Carl shows and they are mostly garage sales filled with brass knuckles, lamp shades, fake rolex watches and military surplus.
