Default Old Grease

Is it advisable to clean out the grease in my Luger? I am not sure how long they have been in there but when I acquired something I just like to clean them inside out and relube it. Is it recommend to do so to my WW2 Luger?

Hi V, Cleaning and re-lubing an old firearm clearly makes sense from a practical point of view. However, collectors like to see traces of old, hardened grease, it's a reassuring sign that the gun is original. Regards, Norm
