Nice gun, but are black "plastic" grips correct on a 1940? I thought they were seen on a relatively small percentage of the 1941 & 1942 production only.

They are correct but seldom encountered. The Wehrmacht authorized the substitution of plastic for walnut when the latter was not available in 1939.

hi,

its a very nice luger. Iam happy to see this P08, it is a sister to my one.
i have got the same one here, 1940 / 42, 9794, no suffix, black plasticgrips too.
your luger its not a week older. congret´s.
