Luger or P-38
Were Luger and P-38 holsters inter-changeable ?

The short answer to your question is no.
They were designed individually, but the overall shape and size of the two pistols does them fairly interchangeable for use with either pistol, but that was not the practice. I am sure that closeness in shape of the pistol and holsters was strictly ergonomic in nature. Both pistols fit the hand really well... The Luger holster will not allow proper carry of the P-38 magazines, and vice-versa.

Luger and P-38
I should have known that.
Now that I am trying to get a square peg in a round hole.! The style is the same. So I am now looking for a P-38 holster. Doug |

I am pretty sure I have an extra holster in my collection I can sell. Let me look tonight and I will post some photos.
