I recently picked up Another Hsc. From the serial number, it was made in 1941. It is an eagle N marked, commercial piece. According to the records, there were apox 10 times as many military marked Hsc produced as commercial pieces in 1941.
What effect does this have on the value. Normally I would think military marked pieces are more sought after than commercial pieces. But when less thn 5,000 were produced that year ?????? Thanks.........Chip |

Don't know this type. Nazi Navy HSc does demand premium.
Market will tell us in a few days: (1) WaA 135 HSc (2) Commercial HSc |

It's also about "condition". Condition commands more in the long run. I personally think the military HSc's command more than the commercial ones.
According to Whittington's "German Pistols & Holsters 1934-1945 vol. II (revised) book, they are as follows: Scale=1-5 1=easy to find 5=harder to find Commercial HSc with commercial finish (high polish)=3 Commercial HSc with war finish=2 Military HSc e/655 commercial finish=3 Military HSc e/135 commercial finish=3 Military HSc e/135 war finish=2 Military HSc e/WaA135=2 KM's are also varied like this, some more rarer than others. But, ultimately it boils down to condition. |

From auction result, those two are peers, pricewise. WaA went $600 (+BP $690), Commercial went $700 (+BP $805).
