Pocket Size Luger/Proof I.D. book?

Kind of tough taking my 'Lugers at Random' book to a gun show. Has anyone ever made a 'pocket size' Luger I.D. book showing the proofs and what variations the proofs should be on? With todays photo shop and desk top publishing, it might not be to tough a task. I would take it on if I had access to all the info. I doubt other book authors will like me to be 'scale down' parts of various Luger books to make one. For now I have just copied some proof info pages out of my Lugers at Random book to fold into my pocket. Anyone else use 'cheat sheets' or the like at gun shows?

I have made them, but found them too much trouble. I have met collectors that have Kenyon, or Gibson in a backpack.

There is a pocket book by Reese I think, it is not very good and outdated for pricing.

You really have to have a era that you like, then you can copy those pages that pertain?

Hi Bill, Aarron Davis put out such a book in 1997. It's called "The Luger Handbook", and was published by Krause. It could be helpful for identifying the different variations, but the price guide is laughably outdated. And, of course, you'll still be on your own when it comes to assessing authenticity! Something like Scott Duff's "M1 Garand Serial Numbers and Data Sheets" but for Lugers. I know I'd buy one.
