Default P-38 or HSC, not P08 ?

Surely this does not look like a Luger holster, not generally, and not by the magazine pocket.

"SS" stamping inside ?

It looks line a Genuine reproduction Radom holster with a brown lacquer stain that has been sprayed on. It appears that someone ruffed it up to give it a worn appearance.

Regards,

George

Caveat Emptor .... but there ought to be a way eBay could control this kind of error.
I say error, giving the seller the benefit of the doubt - that he knows/doesn't know the holster is a repro, although he claims it is original, 'cause it has stamped stuff which says .... etc. Like watching a crime in progress, wondering if the victim will realize he has been robbed. Will he will ever notice his Luger and magazine fit so badly ( or not at all) in it.

I have noticed that many sellers will call any holster they find a Luger holster, if it has a flap on it.

Looks just like a French MAS 35 or MAB P15 holster I bought for $5 at a gun show a while back.
Definitely very post war!
I gave it to a friend for his Star Mod. B but the holster was too tight.

This last weekend I was at the Tennessee Military Arms show here in Franklin. I saw a lot of holsters that were supposedly WWll Luger holsters. They all seemed to be different in one way or another. So not being to smart on the subject, I just smiled and said "Thank you."
