Default Broomhandle Leather Holster

Recently picked this up at a gun show. Jerry B. re-stitched the lid and top of belt loops. Unfortunately, someone cut out the property mark on the top back corner. According to Whittington, this was an E/M. According to Bender's book, these are rare.

Nice looking scarce leather.

If my eye measurements are correct, it appears that this (commercial) holster is for a Mauser Bolo pistol which means that it was probably made after 1925.

Nice holster

This holster fits a 5.5 inch barrel broom. I do not believe it was made for a commercial. See Whittington and Bender. Bill

I have one in the same contour and size. Maybe a little bit less condition though. My holster came with a 9m/m Mauser. Erickson's book also says it's Navy. But I did not find any mark on the holster. The gun itself is in great shape.... hard for me to believe it had been ever issued to the Navy somewhere in its life
