1917 DWM Unit markings

Gentleman,

I have a 1917 DWM with the following unit marking on the grip strap:

J.R. 154 <space> 3. M.G.K. 19.

Can anyone ID this and is there any history to Units on this Luger?

Infantry Regiment 154, 3rd Machine Gun Company, weapon 19.
