Steve,
Try some 4 or 5 ought steel wool with some oil. Very light strokes, Be very gentle!! If you can? Get some "Flitz" it's even better. Ron

Thanks for the info. Is there anywhere to get Flitz other than by mail order?

I'm not sure. I was given some sample packets a while back.

Works good, huh? I'll give Bed Bath & Beyond a look see. They have a tendency to carry the "As Seen On TV" products.

It works very well, and doesn't harm the blue.

I bought my flitz on ebay, then later I bought some at Kittery Trading Post, they are on-line, unsure if they have that product on line.

Brownells sells a stainless steel wool that is made for removing rust. Use lots of oil and you can rub hard without damaging the bluing.

I did a google search for "Flitz" and got it off the internet. I don't recall what the company name was as it's been a while since I got it. It does a good job as I got enough to break the Luger down and then soaked it for 24 hours and then used the fine steel wool. Brent B.
