I have two of these holster, both have this same conversion.Ever seen this? I am wondering if this is kind of frontmade, to wear the holster directly on the belt.By the way, one is to sell on ebay.de.

Hello,
I have some historical pictures where German soldiers wear the LP08 holster directly on the belt. It was a sort of "customization" made by soldiers. This only to say that, there are some evidences that the LP08 was carried on the belt. Of course this doesn't mean that the modification at your holster was done in the WWI. Some historical pictures are available in my web site. Have a look. Regards. Mauro

Many thanks for your answer. Its hard to say when this conversion was made, both are almost identical. But it looks to me that it was made a long time ago.
