Strawing Question

I came upon an interesting fact that I was unaware of....


It seems that the early Swiss Strawing was done in such a way that the Diced parts of the takedown lever, safety lever, and mag release were blued after strawing.


Was this practice originated at DWM or was it strictly a Swiss varient?
