if you have a gun range with a gunsmith in the business, they might have a gun vice that allows a pistol to be secured and it can be test fired from a safe distance with a trigger pull string-cord.

I took a dummy round ( Snap cap ) and put it in the Barrel ... closed the bolt rather gently, and it snapped easily over the rim.

--> Looks like the front of the Frame, and not the Barrel stud, was shortened.

I placed some adhesive tape to the base of the dummy round, inserted it, and pulled the Trigger.

NICE hole in the tape ... I am quite sure, this gun will fire.

I Need heavy Leather gloves now ...
