They were wanting $75 for that magazine to. Is that too much or about the going rate.

My original sometimes you gotta play with the side but to push it up far enough to operate the latch properly to hold the toggle open. Figured just an old spring inside. But, it has the wooden bottom and I really dont wanna break it. So a new mag is really my option.

Too much. Greg Cote has new Mec-Gar mags for under $30...

And G.T. and LugerDoc should have Mec-Gar's for ~$35 or so, and they can be had with G.T.'s aluminum bottoms for under $100...As mentioned in -

The consensus here is that Mec-Gar's are the only consistently acceptable mags for fit and function. And they're steel. Others [KKK etc] are horrible (I have one of those).

Both G.T. and LugerDoc have wood bottoms for the mags, too (IIRC).

I really do appreciate the feedback I got from members on this particular gun. As for the rear sight, I have been trying to get more information on the gun itself and the previous owner. The guy I got it from bought it off a kid in florida whos grandfather died recently. This kid was selling off all kinds of his grandfathers stuff. Im trying to get this kids number and see if I can find out about his grandfather. Maybe a little knowledge of his grandfather can explain the rear sight.

Thanks to all!

Sterted pondering on the sights for this gun. The barrel has no serail number so its been changed out apparently. Also the from sight is different than what I have seen on most. I added a thru sight view of the gun just for those of yall that actually liked the rear sight change.
