9x25 were made pre-WWI, sold to private owners. Those guns sold to private owners would not get into surplus market. Only government owned properties could. That would explain why 9x25 being rare in China. Some conehammer with Bolo barrels, 6, 10, even 20, rare, Chinese had a few of those.. those should be 1920s stuff although they had early s/n.. Originally, I thought some "a" xuffix-ed 9x25 was also 1920s, but not found in China yet.

In C96, there are still lots of unknown.
