Thank you for the photo. I could see it quite clearly when I enlarged the second photo in your initial post. It is as I stated, a DWM acceptance mark usually found on military pieces.

Mighty expensive shooter! Other than the mismatched extractor and the non-original front sight (which is found quite frequently on these early guns), your gun is in excellent condition. The 9mm 1906 production is relatively small making these guns a prize for Luger collectors. Even in its less than original condition I would guess its value is in the neighborhood of $2500 plus or minus.

The breechblock is an Imperial proof mark, applied to military guns upon passing the power-proof test. Its presence suggests the breechblock may not be original to this gun.
