I have been surprised at how many folks I meet out in the shows that are not on the web or don't care or don't have ANY luger books, they are going by their feelings and that is an easy way to get burnt...

The deaths head on the Mauser is even more comical looking than the one on the P-08

That's a real shame that looks like a nice K98 that is now a shooter grade.

I can't believe that Hump went for $5000!!! When he realizes it's bogus he'll try to recoup his losses by selling it for even more...with a better story!

Has anyone ever seen a Government form without a form #. The stamp compares with some that I have, But all in black. And having 40 years as a typewriter repairman, I can tell you someone put in a lot of effort to make it look that bad. Any company clerk would be the brig for putting that in front of any Major I have ever met. Even one that could not decide if he was right or left handed.

HAHAHA!!! What kind of Death Head is that! Looks like Bozo the Clown died and they used his face! This is just too funny for words...What kind of idiot would shell out over 4 grand for this rediculous POS? Wonders never cease.

It's new era's BBQ gun, much easier than engraving oak leaves, and much easier to ask more.
If you do have a shooter for sale, please help yourself adding a few SS, Death Head, or Swastika, etc on it. Do it in a tasteful way, and not too busy. It should help If it does not sell, you lose nothing, it's a shooter no matter you add them or not.

Take a look at the date 28 May 1945 paying attention to the 2 and the 8. Then look at Mauser Rifle sn 7253 8mm

The type font for all the Luger and Mauser info is different than the rest of the document.

The death head and SS were obviously not inscribed at the factory, however that is the correct deathhead marking; it may have been a depot stamp. The certificate looks correct also, with the proper wording etc. I wouldn't write it off without a closer look.
