Hello conrad, welcome to the forum. whew, a hell of a lot of questions

go to www.lugerforum.com and look under the technical section, take a look at the suffix there and see if you can match it up.

On the bottom of the barrel, is it marked 8,82, 8,83, etc. If not, and a 9mm won't fit, it was rebarreled, probably to 7.65mm or 30 luger (same cartridge), if so, it has no collector value as ALL byf's were 9mm.

It is not a modern weapon, those niceties were added later, it is a WW2 handgun for war

Pictures? That would help some?

Serial Number?
