David,
New 30 L Winchester brass can usually be found on one of the three auctions ebay, auctionarms, gunbroker. I have around 2000 that I bought a couple years ago on ebay for about 3c each. If you don't put a tarp down, you have about 50% attrition when shooting. There are several jacketed bullets available from the major makers that work well. There are also a couple of the cast bullet makers that have specific bullets for the 30 Luger & Mauser.

I shoot my 30's a lot more than my 9's, they are just more fun!!!

If beginning reloading, I don't recommend getting a progressive loader. Start with a simple single stage from RCBS, Lee, Lyman, CH. You will need a press, dies, and a powder scale. Midway has RCBS "starter kits" for less than buying the seperate components cost. You may be able to find used equipment on the 3 auctions mentioned above cheaper than new stuff.

Once you start reloading, you will find that it is not cheaper, 'cause you will shoot more, but you can shoot a heck of a lot more for the same price!!!
