It is similar to the 1902 Fat Barrel in that the "step" for the front sight band is very small, but the diameter of the barrel is not as large as the 1902 possibly because the '03 is 7.65mm. I have cropped out an image of the front sight and adjusted the colors a bit to make it more visable. Hope this helps.
