If this is dated 1942 why is it a mold for an Artillery or Imperial Navy...they didn't make these in WW2.

I don't trust anything coming from the area east of Germany to include those parts of Germany that are now called Poland. Probably a form made for knocking-out new production LP08 holsters that is no longer needed so it was boosted with some carving....I'm surprised it wasn't dressed-up with an RZM stamp or some SS runes.
