I really don't know how to date these carbines. It is not the same one that is in Kenyon's TMP (#58), and the barrel configuration is much more like the standard 1902 Carbine. Since it was presented in September of 1902 I think it is safe to call it a 1902 Presentation Carbine. Dwight, I think it is not a standard commercial number, the commercial serial number range would be much higher when this piece was presented. It probably is a reserved range, most likely for early tangent sight and presentation pieces.
