Go easy on the Glocks there good buddy--they are unarguably one of the best of the modern semi-auto handguns available. I waited 20 years to see if the Glocks would "prove out." Every time I fired one, it seemed as if I were somehow "cheating" because I found them so easy to shoot so well. I finally bought my Glock 19 a couple of years ago, and it would be the first handgun I would reach for in a moment of real-world need. I agree with you that they are doorstop ugly, but man do they run!
