Default Luger Belly Button?

What is this? I have two Lugers, one has an "inny" and the other has an "outy"....

Is this the Luger version of the belly button?

Steve, That's the tip of the takedown lever spring. Some have a longer leg than others.

Ohhhh... well now I feel stupid. I was wondering what on Earth they would have done that for, and now that I look at it closer it obvious. :-P

Then again, Lugers may have belly buttons. I've never really looked.
