Holster molds on auction arms

You would make the molds in brass because you can cheaply sand cast it. The cutting dies are bent and welded because that is the cheapest way to do that process. I believe these scream VOPO and have nothing to do original Imperial or Wehrmacht production.

Jerry, is heat used in leather molding? I always thought it was wet leather and pressure on the forming dies but I do not know.
