Are any of you Forum members planning on attending th NAPCA Convention Chattannga, TN on September 7,8, and 9th? I am thinking about going have heard some good words about it. I usually only attend the one in Kansas City during January. However, with the wifes death I now have a little more freedom to travel.

I have been thinking of it but that is the start of hunting season so it's a big debate. Will that location accomodate a motorhome? Got two dachshunds that go with me everywhere and hotels do not ususally welcome pets.
I always wanted to attend the Ohio Gun Collectors Assoc. show and go to both days of the show but the enterance gate is too low for my war wagon. So I leave my two dachshunds home for one day and drive my car. But many times I felt that I was too tired from the three hour drive from the Detroit area to fully benefit from the show. There is so little as far as gun shows go in Michigan so the OGCA show is a real treat. I would also like to try the Louisville show. I hear that its pretty good. But that would be almost a nine hour drive and I would have to plan on a three day trip. My puppies could not hold it that long at home. And I do not know if Louisville can accomodate a motorhome. Big Norm, I'm originally from Louisville. The gun show is at the Kentucky State Fair Grounds. I've seen motorhomes parked on the grounds at various horse , auto, antique, etc., shows for years. I'm sure a call to the Fair Grounds or Chamber of Commerce would get you information who to contact. Tomorrow, I'll call my daughter, (who is a travel agent with AAA), to see if AAA has any info. I'll get back to you in a couple of days. Regards, Ad.

Big Norm, parking IS aparently available. Click WWW.kyfairexpo.org; go to "contact us" then "RV parking". The latter gives you an e-mail address. There is also a phone number, 502.367.5380, especially for RV parking requests. The published disclaimer is "one year advance reservation". I doubt it is strictly enforced. In addition, The Executive Inn Hotel is either on the fairgrounds proper or within a VERY short walk. Finally, I note there are gun shows in September and December. Click "events schedule" for dates. Hope this is helpful. I may go, myself. Ad.

I got your E-mail and thanks. The Ohio gun show is September 15-16 and I will have to see the dates of the Louisville show to see if there is a conflict. In December, that is pretty much out. I have to put the old war wagon in storage. I can't afford to have the water lines freeze up on me. I also have to consider my dachshunds. I have no one to leave them with and the weather would be too cold to leave them in the car. Hotels don't like it when people leave unattended dogs in the rooms. So its September or wait until next year. But, who know. I could meet some pretty lady and get married and then she could watch the dogs while I go to Louisville........Naw!
